at the Rhapsody Piano Camp

Who is the camp for?

Take a week off just to practice, learn, and perform with like-minded music lovers!

Join Rami Bar-Niv, international concert pianist, for a unique opportunity to spend a week surrounded by a special group of people who share the joys and challenges of being adult piano students, as well as gaining an up close and personal experience with a world class pianist.

Camp is suitable for adult piano players of all levels, from complete beginners to professional performers and piano teachers.

Held in multiple locations on the West and East coast in the US, the first weeks in July, the camp will take place near Rochester, New York in a 200 year-old historic building at Newbrough Piano Studio equipped with Steinway pianos.

You will have a one-hour lesson each day with Rami, a class, lecture, or concert performance each evening, and at least four hours of daily piano time.

Rami Bar-Niv, international concert pianist, composer and educator

Rami Bar-Niv is one of Israel's most acclaimed and sought after pianists. He performs regularly in North, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, Australia, and Israel, where he  received the best performer award.
He appears on TV and radio, in chamber ensembles, solo recitals, and as a soloist with orchestras, and is always received with great enthusiasm. Often sent abroad by the Foreign Ministry to represent Israel in concerts, he has become an ambassador or goodwill for Israel.


Rami Bar-Niv made history by being the first, and so far the only, Israeli artist to perform in Egypt following the Begin/Sadat Peace Treaty. His recordings for CBS and other labels in Israel and abroad have met with praise and popularity. Rami Bar-Niv offers music of great variety and contrast in style, and is an extremely versatile performer.
Rami Bar-Niv is the author of best-selling book “The Art of Piano Fingering” (2013), “Bool, Sweat, and Tours: Notes From the Diary of a Concert Pianist“(2020) Rami is a composer. His compositions are published, recorded and performed world wide.

Host Teacher: Bill John Newbrough

Dr. William John Newbrough is Professor of Piano and Director of Piano Studies at Houghton University, NY.  A veteran performer, Newbrough has won many international and national piano competitions and performed in numerous solo, chamber music, and concerto engagements in the United States, Canada, Mexico, England, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Russia, South Korea, and Australia. In addition to being a classical pianist, Newbrough performs his own hymn arrangements in churches, colleges, and charity and benefit concerts.
